I have been hearing this from many people, they often ask ‘What do you after you have published your post ?‘ and ‘How you promote your Blog posts after publishing them ?‘. Well promoting your posts is most vital thing you have to do after publishing them. I mean you are writing Posts, Reviews, Articles but no one is reading it, visiting or viewing it.

The Fact is that no matter how Amazing and well-drafted your content may be, you need to take the extra steps to put it in front of people. If you won’t promote it, how will the unknown people will come to know about your Blog and it’s contents ? The daily visitors and the Subscribers can get to know about it, but what about the outsiders ? You need to highlight your posts to them. I know you want the comments, the Traffic, the E-mail list and ultimately the money, but it’s just not happening unless you promote your blog. And not just your blog, your blog posts and every page you have online. The Next big thing after promotion is performing SEO practices but for the time here are some simple and great ways for promoting your work !
Social Media
The most renowned way that every blogger knows to promote his/her stuffs is the Social Media. Sharing your posts on social networks is a fantastic way to drive traffic, build buzz and gain Backlinks.
I use to share through the social sharing buttons below the posts manually to Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Digg and StumbleUpon. These are my Top 5 Social Networks where I usually share my new articles and posts. But if you have a lot of social accounts out there and want to promote all your posts automatically to the networks then I would suggest to use Ping.fm. It’s totally free and allows you to share messages & links on 30+ social media sites with the click of a button. Or you can just check How to update Multiple Social Networks through one Platform where you’ll find other tools which automatically publishes your posts to the social networks.

E-Mail Marketing
Opt-in Email marketing is an excellent way of promoting posts, services and events to your visitors, customers and members who have explicitly requested to receive such email messages. Recipient responses to email marketing messages can be measured through open-up and click-through tracking.

This one will only help you if you have got an actual email list. If you have an email list, send out a quick email telling your subscribers to go checkout your latest blog post. As your list grows, email marketing will become a great way of instantly driving traffic and starting lots of conversations in the comments. If you’re not already building a list, start immediately.
Blog Commenting
This thing really works. When you interact with someone, then they get to know about you, your name and some other credentials that you provide. Commenting on some popular and most visited blogs like Mashable, TechCrunch, TechRadar, LifeHacker . . will give and your blog a Limelight. Being an active commentator, people will start recognizing you and of course this will provide you backlinks too.

Other than this, there’s a Plugin CommentLuv, which allows you to link back to your latest blog posts. Well find blogs that have CommentLuv enabled and comment on their latest stuff. Make sure you tick display link to your latest blog post. This will immediately give your new posts a couple of ever lasting backlinks and continuous traffic !
Facebook Apps – RSS Graffiti & Networked Blogs
Out of all the Social Networks, Facebook holds the most number of active users i.e. around 500 Million Users. That huge man ! So sharing your posts over here to loads of groups and pages will give a huge boost of promotion to your posts and direct a lot of traffic. For that, there are 2 Apps which are best for automated publishing – NetworkedBlogs and RSS Graffiti.
NetworkedBlogs - Promote your blog on Facebook and syndicate your feeds to your wall and fan pages. NetworkedBlogs is a Facebook application that allows you to automatically share your blog posts on Twitter & Facebook as soon as they’re published. This is a great and perfect app that automatically publishes as soon as they are posted. All you have to do is to Register and Syndicate a Blog, Add targets to Facebook and Twitter and leave. It will do your rest of the works.

RSS Graffiti - RSS Graffiti makes it easy to share your blog posts, Twitter updates, YouTube videos and other social activity with your friends and fans on Facebook. You can use RSS Graffiti with your blog and it should have an RSS/Atom feed. You can schedule regular updates to keep friends and fans up to date with your latest activity, without wearing them out. You can publish your activity to any of your Facebook walls -whether it’s a fan, profile, or even an application page.

Bookmarking
You must be thinking I said about Social Media and how you can promote through it. But Bookmarking is different from it. Social bookmarking is a well known link building strategy, but hardly anyone uses it for traffic generation. There are more than hundreds of popular social bookmarking sites. They are essentially sites people go to bookmark and like/share their favourite websites or webpages.

A lot of your stuff can actually go viral on social bookmarking sites, that’s where the real traffic is. If your posts get enough likes or shares, you can get featured on a home page and receive a tsunami of traffic. The reality is that bookmarks aren’t fantastic backlinks, but they do in fact drive almost instantaneous traffic. I’d advise you to bookmark your new posts/articles on Delicious and StumbleUpon. There are many, but usually most of the traffic comes from these two sources.
These were some ways for promoting your posts after they are published. As a Post without Promotion is Mobile without Balance. So keep Promoting Your Blog and Posts.
